Group Drumming for Kids
Joy for Every Child
African drumming has a magical ability to connect people – and for children, this is doubly true. Even without prior experience, they can play together, release their energy, and experience real joy from music. Each child receives their own drum and under the guidance of an experienced instructor, they easily join in. Drumming is a source of joy and fun for children. Kids can relax, be spontaneous, and express their emotions through the drums. It is also an opportunity to unwind from everyday responsibilities.
Sessions last 15–45 minutes, with an ideal group size of 10–20 children. For kids, it's an amazing opportunity to try playing a musical instrument, practice rhythm and cooperation, and most importantly – make loud sounds without the restrictions they normally face in everyday life.
Fun and Release
Drumming is playful, loud (in the best sense of the word!) and incredibly fun. Kids can let loose without worry, express themselves freely, and create together.
Rhythm and Motor Skills Development
Playing drums develops two-handed coordination, fine motor skills, and a sense of rhythm. Drumming supports concentration and body awareness.
Cooperation and Listening
Group playing develops team spirit – children must listen to others, react, and adapt. This creates a natural form of cooperation and respect.
Musical Experience with Deeper Impact
Musical activities have a positive impact on memory, concentration, and language skills. Creative expression also strengthens healthy self-confidence and the courage to express oneself.
Rhythm That Connects
JOY - PLAYFULNESS - SELF-EXPRESSION - CREATIVITY
In 2024, I joined the Bubnovačka event organized by Centrum LOCIKA. We drummed at LEGO to raise awareness about the importance of protecting children from domestic violence. Through drumming, we symbolically give voice to abused children. They are often invisible to society.

"The facilitators from Africké Bubnování prepared a wonderful program for our Mozaika kindergarten and primary school as part of the end-of-year celebration. Children could try authentic African rhythms and play the drums. Parents could join in too. We gladly praise the instructors for their patience, positive attitude, and ability to engage both children and adults, and we happily recommend the program."
